DISEASE
There is a disease growing
Inside me day by day.
Somedays its constantly near
And other times it stays away.
I feel it in my body
Flowing through my veins.
Somedays it is SO bad,
I think I'm going insane.
There is no medicine on earth
That could drive this disease from within.
What is this disease called?
It is called sin.
I've looked all over for a cure
Unable to find one.
Then, one day, I met a man
Who shone like the sun.
He said his name was Jesus
He said he had a cure.
I wanted to believe him,
But I was so unsure.
I told him nothing had worked
cars, money nor clothes.
So how do I know that his would work.
And at that moment, the sun rose.
Jesus spoke with a soft voice,
" I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.
I can save you from your sin,
I can help you with your strife."
I nodded, I believed.
I wanted Him to save me.
I closed my eyes, bowed my head
And got down on my knees.
He laid His hand upon me,
and I felt the sin go.
I finally felt free,
and I knew which way to flow.
When my eyes opened,
Jesus had gone.
But I saw where his feet had walked
So I followed his footsteps,
In the light of a new Dawn.

I was just writing in my notebook when these words hit me, and I started to write them out as quickly as possible.
Core of My Life
Lord guide me through my days,
Keep me safe from harm.
I want to know your ways,
I wanna hang onto your arm.
But I am so afraid,
What if I mess up?
And each night as I lay,
I want to fill my cup.
I must rely on you,
For my strength and needs.
But why is it so hard
To get down on my keens?
I'm in awe of you,
But can't find the time,
in my day to pray to you.
What's wrong with my mind?!
Jesus, I pray to you,
I want to know you more.
I wanna feel you near,
I want you to be the core
of my life!

Hey so tonight I was at youth group and I was talking to one of my teachers and she said Krystl do you want to sing a song with me for Sunday? So I said sure and after youth group we went to practice and this song really hit me. I realized tonight that no matter what happens through all the struggles I'm going through the Lord will be there through it all so heres the lyrics and i hope they touch your heart as they did mine :)
